FOOD FOR TERMITES

A young man drove his Jeep recklessly and almost knocked down a motor cyclist. The biker angrily abused him and questioned whether he was drunk or blind. The young man came down and lashed back at the biker, calling him a poor man, good for nothing, who will never live to buy a jeep. He screamed, do you know who I am? I will crush you here and nothing will happen. He entered his car and zoomed off.
I looked at the young man pityingly.
It is a pity. Man has over estimated himself with wealth, fame, power and mundane things, not realizing, he is only food for termites.
Read This;
“And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul”.Genesis 2:7
“in the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return”.Gen 3:19
These passages will help us understand the reality of our estimation, and help us to order our priorities right, and to value one another irrespective of whoever we think we are.
The worldly differences between the Youngman and the Biker are; his earthly possessions, the cost of his casket, the beautification of his grave, the crowd and the extent of merriment at his funeral. Apart from these, they both share the same 6feet and will eventually after burial become food for termites.
Oh! How miserable we are
I was at the morgue some years back to pick the remains of my dear mother. What I got was a stiff, lifeless, and shrinked remains. That’s the end of man.
The grave ends pride, power, affluence, greed, wickedness, fame and covetousness.
The only thing that is of value in man is,”God’s breath” When God takes it, man becomes worthless.
Beloved,what is your estimation of yourself?
Is your bank account, fame, achievements and possessions your true estimation?
Place yourself on a biblical scale and know your worth
“But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness”.1 Timothy 6:11
Everyman is equal before God. But before the white throne judgment, our differences shall be separated by our deeds. Rev 20:11-15
